Figures that after posting this map on a certain web site last week:
...Seattle gets hit with its own heat wave. I've been camping
out in the basement for the past few days, where it's a good 10-15
degrees cooler. The cats are excited, but I can kind of tell
they're pissed, too, like "WTF, chilly concrete floors -- why didn't
you let us down here sooner, you jerk!"
But it's pretty nice with a makeshift bed (old box spring + guest
futon), fan and laptop with wifi in full effect. Comfy enough
to make me forget about the spiders.
This is how my homeward commute often begins: trapped in the office park by a slow-moving train. Three full stops, fifteen minutes and counting...
